Baptism
What is baptism?
In Matthew 28:18-20, Jesus tells his followers to make disciples (apprentices) of people from all ethnic backgrounds, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
1. Baptism is meant to be an act of initiation into a new life in God’s kingdom as a follower of Jesus.
2. Baptism means full immersion into a relationship with God the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit.
3. Baptism is an act of identification with Christ in his death, burial, and resurrection. (Romans 6:3-4)
Would you like to be baptized? Do you believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross to reconcile people to God and that he rose from the dead? Do you turn from your sin and confess Jesus as your Savior and Lord? Is it your intention to follow him wholeheartedly all the days of your life? Then baptism is for you!
